I care about stories.
You can find them everywhere. They mediate how we perceive the world at large, how we treat others and how we see ourselves. For this reason it is vital that we create and study stories.
I grew up surrounded by cross-cultural storytelling in America, Australia and England. Places that were inherently linked, but distinct in how they defined themselves.
I knew that I wanted to work in media from a young age, and so became a commercial actor whilst I was studying. I moved to Los Angeles to further my career in 2017. I cared about my work at this time, but I lacked the drive to embody someone else’s perspective. However, I still had a deep fascination for screen practice. I loved being on set and studying the way that each role would inform the final product.
When I reached university, I chose to indulge my curiosity and study Media and Communications with a major in Screen Practice and Production. I further developed my understanding of the rapidly evolving world of entertainment, journalism, and screen culture as a whole. Alongside these goals, I took the time to study a variety of disciplines such as photography, social media, philosophy, creative writing etc. I also directed and wrote several short films.
As a third-year University student, I am seeking work to enhance my academic and professional journey. Highly social and creatively motivated, I bring experience in directing, writing, and collaborating on diverse film projects. I am eager to apply my skills and passion in new and challenging environments, contributing to innovative and impactful work.
